Quote of the Week! – Ideal vs. Reality

A perfect world where everything falls nicely into place as desired is so far-fetched. I suspect we wouldn’t even know how to deal with it in the light of present times.

  1. There is a dark side to perfection. Perfectionists are consumed by their insatiable crave for the impeccable. Many refuse to pursue their targets in life because of the fear of not acheiving “perfection”. Most careers in life are designed to solve the problems of the imperfect world. If there were no sick people, what would the physicians do? If there were no strife, why would there be a law profession? If there were no questions, what riddle would the scientists solve? A perfect world seems ideal at a distance but on a closer look, it is an intangible oxymoron.
Your quote is full of wisdom.

    1. Thank you so much Adetunji for your insightful comments, and I do agree. Imperfection is the order of the day in the real world. It makes the world an interesting and challenging place. It actually gives room for improvement and development. So I do think it’s a good thing in its own way.

We can only keep working towards perfection continually, and I think that’s how far we can really go. Honestly, we may not really know how to handle perfection in this perennially chaotic world we live in.

Thanks once again and have a great day!πŸ‘
