**
The news shattered me,
My body is now weak,
And sleep eludes me.
**
The hurt is deep,
My heart so broken,
Yet eyes unable to weep.
**
Forever seems the grief,
So cold and shocking,
For a life so brief.
**
Today is done,
With tomorrow on its way,
We hope to see the sun.
**
A line from a hymn touched me deeply while in church yesterday, and it inspired this poem. A lot of people are going through different levels of crisis and tough times. It seems to be a constant in our times. May God see us through it all.
Blessings and God’s grace to all.

Hopes are the most precious thing in this world. They become positive thoughts. And that’s what changes life.
I liked that prayer.. 😊

I love how on a daily basis, we can find inspiration in almost every circumstance. Church of course is a place where this should happen! I must admit with all the sorrow and tribulations I keep reading and hearing about, sometimes it’s a challenge to keep my head up and remember to look for inspiration and hope. I always remind myself that in order to feel for others I have to open my eyes to what their circumstances are and understand their pain. That’s what makes us humans special. We have the capability to feel pain and joy, yet with both become stronger. ❤️

You are so right, Jenny. Every day comes with different events that have the potential to inspire us. And yes, our being able to empathise, helps us to feel and maybe understand what other people are going through. Seriously Jenny, with disasters everywhere, it’s really hard to find a ray of hope anywhere. That’s why humanitarian efforts are so important because it brings with it that inspiration and hope, that tomorrow can be better.
Thank you so much for your inspiring and thoughtful comments. Remain blessed.🌺🌷

Beautiful…the light in our hearts shines so bright, even in pain, even in sadness…and it’s a matter of faith and love to keep hoping, carrying and loving through all the heavy storms we’re facing…
I read your poems with tears in my eyes…you have a way to touch my heart and to show me a beautiful and special place, filled with sensibility and talent: your soul. I feel grateful and blessed to read and to get to know you, little by little.

I always look at people like glow sticks. You have to break them a little in order for them to shine 😉

Impressive! Being broken by various circumstances make people discover their strengths and weaknesses. Though it takes the grace of God to pull through some times. Thank you so much!🌷
